Has pet licensing changed in McNab/Braeside?

The Township has moved to a permanent online pet licensing system. Dog tags will no longer be sold in local stores. Licenses may be purchased online or at the Municipal Office at our self-serve kiosk available during regular business hours. Dog tags are issued once and then need to be renewed annually.

How much do dog tags cost?

Dog tags can be purchased between January 1st and April 30th for $15.00 each. After April 30th, dog tags increase in price to $30.00 each.

Is there a limit on how many licenses/dog tags I can purchase?

You can purchase up to three (3) tags per household. If there are four (4) or more dogs, you will need to purchase a Kennel License.

How much does a kennel license cost?

Kennel Licenses can be purchased between January 1st and April 30th for $150.00. After April 30, Kennel Licenses will cost $250.00.

Is there a fee for a replacement tag?

If your dog loses their tag, a replacement tag can be ordered online. A $7.00 fee applies for replacement tags.

How do I get a license?

You can purchase or renew your dog tag online or visit the Municipal Office for assistance. Once you have purchased your dog tag/license, you will receive the physical tag in the mail.
